Christmas Fairies...the big 5th birthday....and a Giveaway!

So having 3 dotters has really made me into a girly girl. As a child I don't particularly remember being so girly and loving the color pink. When that first dotter was born, pink instantly became my favorite color (it still is.) I especially love the idea of fairies. There has always been something magical about them. When my oldest dotter turned 5 I decided to have a big fairy party for her. We had 15 little fairy guests. I made them skirts and wings, we had a fairy treasure hunt, face painting and really fun games. The party was a huge success. So when dotter 2 turned 5 I knew I had to have a fairy party for her. Again, it was a huge success. This time I actually put a fairy tent in the backyard decorated with flowers. So dotter 3 is my last, and she turns 5 this Christmas day. We usually have her party a few weeks prior to Christmas. This party was more of a challenge since the other dotters have warm birthdays...meaning the party can be outside.

Since this was my last fairy party I wanted everything perfect. I decorated my kitchen to look like a magical fairyland place. We had fun fairy food, the outfits were cute, the games fun and the all seemed to have a good time. Most of all my little fairy Bella, truly felt like a special birthday girl.

Today as I'm writing this post, I am so tired. December is busy month without adding a big birthday party on top of it. I'm a little sad too. No more dotters, no more fairy parties. 5 seems to be a magical age, when you are 5 fairies do exist and Santa Claus will be coming down your chimney soon.

Happy Birthday my sweet Bella!

So, I want to share some fairy magic with you as well. If you leave a comment I will share some fairy love with you. I will pick 3 people and send them wings (beautiful and handmade), a skirt, a cute crown (that I made) and some sweet fairy treats. I will take comments until the end of the month. I will choose 3 people by noon on December 30 and mail the items straight to your house.

I am going to post some pictures, if you want specifics on anything I did, I'm happy to share info/ideas.

Hi friend!! I hope you know how much I love you, this post, your fairy parties, & your giveaway:). I almost teared up when you wrote this is the last. Time is such an odd thing & so unfair. But since you are done throwing fairy parties for your dotters that means you have to start hiring yourself out, right?!? I remember Amy & I telling you that you should at Brooklyn's 5th. I was so blown away at that party. It was the first time I witnessed your creative magic & genius. Anyway-love you! Love love love this party & your pink tree. Loved your sweet note you sent my way - & would love to see you.

Gorgeous!! I had a fairy princess party for my oldest daughter (who's now 18) when she was five too! It was so much fun and we had a secret visitor who left silver tinfoil footprints and treats in everyone's shoes (this was tricky as my husband was working and I had to ring the doorbell without any of the princesses noticing I wasn't there). I need the energy to do this for my 3 little girls (6, 4, & 22 mo) that I had for my two older daughters. Love looking at your blog you are such an inspiration.

Jennifer ~ fairies only exist because of their magical Moms and I can tell that you are that magic! What a beautiful, whimsical party you created for your "dotters"! They must feel so special and loved. (*_*) Your creations are absolutely magical! What divine crowns you make! I am in awe of your talent and I am so delighted that we got "reacquainted" today. ~Stacy~ P.S. No one is ever too old for a fairy party!

I found your blog when I saw a lovely crown on my nieces dresser, asked my equally lovely sister in law where she got it, and was told that her friend makes them. So of course I had to go on the hunt. Lovely lovely. Beautiful.

Oh Jennifer, you must be THE fairy god mother of fairy god mothers ... what an amazing and magical event!! BTW I totally agree with Stacy about never being too old for a fairy party, I am thinking 57 would be about right, AND my birthday is in May ... What do you think? Would you wear wings and come to my springtime fairy garden party?

This Christmas Season I have thought a lot about the magical aspects of life. My life may not seem magical at all to some --- I am an ordinary, 34 year old single woman with a full-time government job. Nothing whimsical or fantastical about that. However, I have found the older I get the more magic I see and the more I wish to create. Your decorations and efforts have made for such a beautiful, magical world. Thank you for sharing. It’s inspiring! If I win this give away, I’d give divide your goodies up to the magical little ones in my life….

Your crown would sit in a special glass and wood case to bring smiles to all my visitors, when not being worn by one of my sweet grands for our tea parties. What this world really needs is more magical creations to spread happy dust-here at my house and everywhere! Thanks for sharing your creativity and joyfulness!

I love this! So gorgeous!! I used to have a fairy party every year with my niece in the summer. She's 9 now... I miss it. BUT I still absolutely adore fairies- my blog is Indigo Star Fairy! I wish I would have seen this before so I could have entered. :( But I will start following because I dig what you are about! :) Enjoy!
